Major PSB events of 2005 included: * The release of Pet Shop Boys' "Back to Mine" double-CD compilation. * The release of Pet Shop Boys' original music for the film "Battleship Potemkin" and four performances of the music with the Dresdner Sinfoniker in Germany. More performances are planned for 2006. * Pet Shop Boys appearing onstage with Yoko Ono during her performance at the Meltdown festival in London. * Pet Shop Boys headlining the Moscow Live 8 concert. *A new production of "Closer to Heaven" in Brisbane, Australia. A revamped version of this production will be seen in Sydney in 2006. *Neil and Chris writing new songs in London and Naples and then recording their new album, "Fundamental" with producer Trevor Horn. The album is currently set for release on April 17, 2006. As well as releasing their new album in 2006, Pet Shop Boys are intending to undertake an extensive tour probably beginning in the early autumn. A major redesign of this website is also planned to coincide with the release of the new album. In the meantime, we wish all Petheads and visitors to this site a very happy New Year.
