We were at Abbey Road studios today, recording strings and then brass on two songs for our new album. These are the string players.

And here are the brass players. There are only two tracks on the album featuring an orchestra. Generally it’s more electronic-sounding that the last album.

I’ve been learning to drive this year and this morning passed my test (at the first attempt, much to my surprise). So this afternoon I went for a drive by myself to celebrate. Neil x

Back working with Xenomania this week after a summer break. Had an interesting week: we wrote a new song over the backing-track of a song we weren’t totally happy with and we really like it now. The album should be finished by the end of October. Meanwhile the Xenomania ducks seem to be breeding!

The latest New York Times Style magazine includes a feature about the Italian “Paninaro” cult of the 80s which inspired our song of the same name. Click on the link to read it.
