An amateur production of the Pet Shop Boys/Jonathan Harvey musical, "Closer to Heaven", will be performed by the City Theatre Company in Brighton, UK, from September 22nd-26th. Tickets go on sale today. Full details from the link below. A percentage of ticket money goes to support the Sussex Beacon, a clinical care centre, providing specialist care and support for those living with HIV.
A production of "Closer to Heaven" by the Uptown Players is also planned for Dallas, Texas, next year.

Fashions Addict (review)
Stopped off in Manchester yesterday to see Rufus Wainwright's opera, "Prima Donna", at the Palace Theatre. As you can see, Rufus came dressed as an opera composer (Verdi, possibly).
I enjoyed the opera, particularly the performance of Janis Kelly.
