Pet Shop Boys are headlining O Son do Camiño Festival in Santiago de Compostela this Friday! It’s the first European show on the Dreamworld 2024 tour, which takes PSB to arenas and festivals across the UK and Europe, before finishing with five sold-out shows at London’s Royal Opera House in July. A new documentary, “Pet Shop Boys — A Celebration”, airs tonight at 9pm BST on Absolute Radio. Presented by Matt Lucas, this unofficial hour-long special shows how PSB have left their mark on British music and culture over the last 40 years, with contributions from Neil and Chris, Bernard Butler, Peter Tatchell, Tim Rice-Oxley, Skin and Tim Burgess. We finally got to see the electric new production of “Closer to Heaven” which opened at the Turbine Theatre in London last month and has just had its run extended. Excellent cast and immersive staging (which is what we imagined when we were writing it with Jonathan Harvey 25 years ago). And it was lovely to meet the cast afterwards.
