We went to see the Last Shadow Puppets in concert at Hammersmith Apollo tonight. Really enjoyed it. Owen Pallett who did the orchestral arrangements on their album has arranged the orchestra on two of our new songs, “Legacy” and “Beautiful people”. And our collaborators the Dresdner Sinfoniker just played with the LSPs in Berlin.

We had a little party in London last night to celebrate next week’s release of “I’m in love with a German film star”. Joining us and Sam Taylor-Wood were many friends, including David Walliams who came straight from the theatre where he’s performing in Harold Pinter’s play, “No Man’s Land”. Kompakt artist Michael Mayer flew in from Cologne to DJ. As you can see from this photo, we had fun.

EMI’s server has been “down” for the last week which has meant no updates to this site but thankfully it’s up and running again and we’re back in business.

Our old friend Cicero cropped up on the TV show “Never Mind The Buzzcocks” last week. Then Pop Justice alerted the pop world to his wonderful song that should have been a hit, “Live For Today”, from the soundtrack to the film, “The Crying Game”. Click on the links below to rediscover this underrated song and also the cheeky video for “Love Is Everywhere”. Both tracks were produced by us in the early 90s.

Wow! Thank you for all the beautiful messages. I’m completely overwhelmed. And to Alter Ego I did read them. Lots of love, Chris X

While working with the Xenomania team, we ended up co-writing a song for Girls Aloud called “The Loving Kind”. It’s on their new album, “Out Of Control”, which will be released early in November. I love it — it’s beautiful but still dancey — and there’s talk of it being released as a single. We first got involved with Xenomania because they’d written and produced great songs for Girls Aloud like “Biology” and “Call The Shots”.
