The lyrics for “Night song” (available for free download to PSB Club members from today), “The dumpling song” and “Wings and faith” can now be read in the LYRICS section on this site. There is no plan for these songs to be released commercially. The play for which they were written, “My Dad’s A Birdman”, continues at the Young Vic in London until January 1st.
The PRS (Performing Rights Society) have organised a auction of handwritten lyrics by “some of the UK’s best songwriters and composers” with all proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. I’ve written out the lyrics of “It’s a sin”, “Being boring” and “Miracles” in a hand-made, leather-bound little book (pictured here) which will be included in the auction at Bonham’s in London this Wednesday, December 15th. Click on the second link below for full information and to make a bid. Other songwriters who have contributed to the auction include Paul McCartney, Robert Smith and Gary Barlow. Neil x
