On June 19th at the BFI (British Film Institute) in London there will be a screening of the classic silent film, "Battleship Potemkin", accompanied by the recorded Pet Shop Boys/Dresdner Sinfoniker score written by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe. The soundtrack was originally performed live in Trafalgar Square in 2004; this is the first time the film and soundtrack will be presented in a cinema setting. The screening is part of this year's Meltdown Festival, curated by Yoko Ono, and will be preceded by a short discussion about the soundtrack with Philip Dodd (former director of the ICA who commissioned the soundtrack) and Neil and Chris. Further information and ticket details can be found at the link below.
Pet Shop Boys are excited to announce that the Super Tour will be heading to Asia in 2019. The tour has so far seen Neil and Chris perform 90 shows in 25 countries since 2016 and next year will visit Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Osaka before concluding in Bangkok.
