Well we finished the new album today! This is Brian and Tim from Xenomania working on the absolutely final mix of “Love etc.” — actually Brian is (right) while Tim is looking at something on the internet. Man in the middle is Jeremy the mix engineer. Can’t wait for you all to hear it. Neil x

We started writing our ballet yesterday. It’s been a very productive two days. We’re doing a workshop of a couple of scenes at the beginning of December to see if we all think it can work.

Last week Brandon Flowers asked me to help him write some lyrics for The Killers’ Christmas single, “Joseph”, which is a duet with Elton John. I wrote the lyrics for one verse and sang a guide vocal of them. It was fun spending a little time in the studio with him and Stuart Price. Neil x

And this is my first group, Dust, playing their first concert in 1970, in a school in Gateshead. Looks like a very solemn affair. Neil

It’s an exciting night. We were invited to the election party at the USA embassy in London to watch the results start to come in.

We went to see The Killers’ concert at the Royal Albert Hall last night. Their new single, “Human”, sounded particularly impressive live. People keep saying it sounds like us but I don’t think so… Neil
